We launched Little Angels in the US in June of 2017 with a singular mission, to support the education of the economically poor and marginalized children in India, especially girls and help them become contributing members of the Indian economy and to build a future of value based families. Since then our mission has evolved to build a firm foundation for educational success in rural India to break the cycle of poverty. We accomplish this in three ways:
Sponsoring the education of economically poor and marginalized children, especially girls (70% of children we support are girls)
Supporting the teachers of children with a modest salary increase
Improving the basic facilities of rural schools
Since launching in July 2017, we have sent over $60,000 USD to support students, teachers and improve schools. We are fortunate to partner with a non-profit organization in India to distribute funds to the children, teachers and their schools. Our non-profit partner in India was founded in Pedda Kotalla in 2013 to support two girls. Today, with your help, we now support over 65 children, 13 teachers and have completed 2 school projects. However, for every child, teacher and school, there are hundreds more who need our help.
Our founding members are like minded individuals, driven by a desire to make the world a better place one child at at time. Every member of our founding team is currently on the board of directors and committed to a multi-year term of service as we establish Little Angels for the long term. We are already making a difference in the lives of a few children and teachers, and believe with your assistance we can make a difference in the lives of many children and teachers.
